Worship Resources for February 2

On Sunday we'll be continuing through John 15, focusing on Abiding in the Fullness of the Holy Spirit. We would encourage you to take some time before you arrive to prepare your hearts for worship. Listen to the songs, pray through the passages, and use the resources below to get you and your families ready to gather before the Lord this weekend.

For more resources (including the bulletin and printable music updated weekly) visit our Sunday Worship page.

RESOURCES FOR SUNDAY: February 2, 2014

Behold the Throne of Grace! by John Newton & Josh Huff - A confession and pardon

Take My Life - song of preparation before this morning's message

Psalm 63:1-4

O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you;
  my soul thirsts for you;
  my flesh faints for you,
  as in a dry and weary land where there is no water.
So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary,
  beholding your power and glory.
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
  my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
  in your name I will lift up my hands.

New City Catechism Question 4: How and why did God create us?

   Answer: God created us male and female in his own image to know him, love him, live with him, and glorify him. And it is right that we who were created by God should live to his glory.
   *Revelation 4:11 "Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created."

*this passage is not the same as the NCC passage, but better reflects our theme of bringing God glory as His creatures
